Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator to run and change over 3–5 packaging machines, ensuring efficiency and quality. The role requires following precise procedures, performing product quality tests, and communicating plans to the team in a fast-paced environment.

The PMO will work with supervision, handle computer-based tasks at scheduled times, and be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Weekend and overtime availability are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Leadership—follow policies and work well with others, embody Shearer’s core values.
• Troubleshooting skills—identify root causes for mechanical/automation equipment; 2–5 years experience preferred.
• Computer skills—basic production software; routine verifications on computer systems.
• Time management—manage own time and complete changeovers on schedule.
• Flexibility—to support training, pre-shift meetings, weekends and overtime as needed.
