Job summary

L’Oréal Somerset, NJ is seeking a Packaging Line Mechanic I for the 3rd shift. You will maintain and repair packaging machinery, lead TPM initiatives, and use data to drive improvements under strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, interpreting diagrams, implementing changes, and documenting work while coordinating with teams across shifts. Prior experience with electrical/mechanical systems and a safe work mindset is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams.
• Understanding of basic electricity and motor controls.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and best practices.
• Proven root cause analysis skills and data-driven mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment on packaging lines.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Use troubleshooting tools and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement improvements and modifications safely.
• Maintain equipment, document actions, and organize records.
