Job summary

Lupin Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Packaging Mechanic for the 3rd Shift in Somerset, NJ. This hands-on role supports the reliable operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical packaging equipment.

You will perform setups, changeovers, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain line performance, productivity, and quality. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to address CAPA actions and ensure cGMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on packaging maintenance experience in pharma or similar environment.
• Ability to perform setups, changeovers, adjustments, and repairs.
• Familiarity with cGMP documentation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, changeovers, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging-line equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, PLC, and pneumatic systems.
• Support packaging equipment operation in accordance with validated parameters and production requirements.
• Diagnose equipment irregularities and implement corrective actions with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate work orders, preventive maintenance records, and other cGMP documentation.
• Work with equipment vendors to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment performance.
• Support machine modifications, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain equipment manuals, tools, and critical spare-parts inventory.
• Support Quality investigations and CAPA activities as required.
• Train and assist packaging operators with equipment operation, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and safety procedures.
• Support productivity and quality goals with Packaging, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
