Job summary

L'Oreal USA, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Line Mechanic for the Somerset, NJ area on the Weekend Night Shift (Fri.-Sun.: 6:45PM-6:55AM).

You will maintain, repair, and continuously improve packaging machinery, leading TPM initiatives and using data to drive improvements across production lines. The role requires 1+ year of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to read diagrams and interpret electrical schematics, and willingness to work flexible hours including overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (education plus experience, including military technical training).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams.
• Able to understand basic electricity and motor controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment as assigned.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment and implement improvements.
• Lead TPM initiatives and use data to reduce downtime.
• Train others and coach TPM processes.
• Communicate status to supervisors and shifts; ensure proper handoffs.
• Maintain machine standards and safety compliance.
