Job summary

L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Packaging Line Mechanic for the 2nd shift (2:45 PM–10:55 PM). You will maintain, repair, and improve packaging machinery, read schematics and diagrams, and apply TPM methodologies to drive line performance while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires 1–2 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to work overtime, and readiness to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (education plus experience, including military technical training).
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and understand basic electricity and basic motor controls.
• Work flexible hours/shifts, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment as assigned.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment as assigned and implement improvements.
• Lead TPM initiatives and use data to drive improvements on the line.
• Ensure safety, quality and proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Train others within the function and foster collaboration across shifts.
