Job summary

Shiseido Americas in New Jersey is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production packaging and manufacturing operations. The role focuses on keeping equipment in optimal condition and reducing downtime across filling, packaging, and batching lines.

You will perform setups, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, and conduct preventative maintenance with thorough documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of GMP experience in cosmetics, personal care, pharma, or related consumer goods.
• Trade school or apprenticeship training with a mechanical background.
• Experience with packaging filling and assembly equipment is preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting and electrical systems knowledge.
• Strong communication in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Set up or changeover equipment to support daily production schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair production packaging lines to minimize downtime.
• Perform predictive or preventative maintenance on filling, packaging, and batching equipment with proper documentation.
• Support improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for primary filling/packaging.
• Maintain safe working environment and ensure required certifications and training.
