Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Lead Operator to manage daily production activities, uphold safety and quality, and develop a high-performing team. You will support Operators and Supervisors while driving continuous improvement across the operation.

The role requires experience leading manufacturing teams, strong problem-solving, and effective cross-functional communication to meet customer demand. A 7-on/7-off schedule includes evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Lead with safety-first mindset and promote quality.
• Document and investigate process non-conformances and equipment failures.
• Coach and develop Operators and Supervisors.
• Coordinate with Planning to meet demand and optimize capacity.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardization and lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety-first, quality-always mindset and promote standards.
• Identify process non-conformances and equipment failures; support root cause investigations.
• Manage inventory activities including cycle counts and discrepancies.
• Use MRP systems to maintain inventory and production records.
• Maintain procedures, documentation, and controlled forms.
• Schedule and prioritize work; evaluate results.
• Coach team members and provide performance feedback.
• Partner with Planning to meet demand and optimize capacity.
• Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Support training programs and create training materials.
• Participate in audits and compliance activities.
