tms is seeking a senior packaging leader in Chicago for a hybrid role focused on driving packaging development across North America and Europe. You will lead strategic technology platforms, build business cases, and mentor engineers while coordinating with suppliers and customers.

The position emphasizes bold innovation, cross‑functional leadership, and a fast‑paced environment that rewards ownership and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience in packaging development & engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering (packaging, material science, etc.)
• Experience in packaging materials supply industries
• Analytical approach to problem‑solving and decision making
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Strong organization and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive new to market strategic technology platforms, managing ambiguity.
• Lead packaging development initiatives aligned with internal and customer needs.
• Build and present business cases for packaging programs with financial feasibility and risk assessments.
• Maintain knowledge of critical packaging technologies and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with leaders, suppliers, and customers to align on strategic initiatives.
