Mars, Incorporated is seeking a Senior Engineer, Packaging Innovation to lead RKT packaging projects within the Accelerator division. You will drive packaging innovation, scale-up initiatives, and collaborate across internal teams and external partners from Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI.

The role requires strong packaging expertise, problem solving, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver packaging solutions that support growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Packaging Science or a related technical discipline with relevant industry experience; advanced degree valued.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to contribute to business strategy and portfolio growth.
• Influences stakeholders and accelerates results; cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of fit-for-purpose packaging platforms and drive growth as a Strategic Cell Leadership Team member.
• Develop packaging specifications, lead scale-up activities, coordinate production trials.
• Manage packaging suppliers and external partners to ensure project success and continuous improvement.
• Oversee creation of high-quality prototypes and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Drive strategic packaging initiatives and support onboarding and development of packaging engineering talent.
