Job summary

Campbell's Packaging Engineer role focuses on developing packaging technologies for the Italian & Frozen category, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. You will work with Marketing, CCID, and Supply Chain to evaluate new technologies and drive complex projects with some supervision.

The role requires a degree in packaging/mechanical engineering and 3+ years in packaging development, with travel up to 25%. Competitive base salary and full benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development roles, ideally in high-volume food, consumer goods, or retail electronics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop packaging components and systems to meet business, manufacturing, customer, and consumer needs.
• Identify and drive cost savings opportunities, looking at component and process improvements.
• Execute package testing and evaluation, including production line trials, to validate packaging performance.
• Provide support to manufacturing during commercialization activities and packaging changes.
• Write technical specifications for packaging components and final package.
• Review technical drawings for packaging components and participate in artwork approval.
