Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America seeks a Designer who collaborates with customers and sales reps to create packaging designs, redesign existing packaging, and find new uses for packages to win business. You will use PCA design software to develop packaging and POP displays, ensuring designs meet safety and production standards, and provide samples and cost data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, packaging or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in packaging and point-of-purchase display creation and design.
• Strong working knowledge of production methods, printing methods, materials, styles, and standard design forms and retail usage of packaging and point of purchase displays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and sales representatives to create packaging designs and POP displays.
• Redesign packaging for existing products to secure new business or grow current accounts.
• Develop new uses for existing packaging to expand market opportunities.
• Prepare samples, designs, and prototypes for customer review and production orders.
• Provide technical guidance on layouts, estimating, die making, and print/press setup to internal teams.
