Job summary

Packaging Corporation seeks a Designer to collaborate with customers and sales teams to design packaging and POP displays. The role focuses on updating designs and exploring new uses for existing packaging to win business and expand current accounts.

The Designer applies advanced design skills, evaluates customer needs, and translates them into drawings, prototypes, and production-ready solutions while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, structural design, art, engineering, or packaging required.
• Strong knowledge of production methods, printing methods, materials and standard design forms for packaging/POP.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in packaging/POP design.
• Proficiency with CAD software and common design tools.

Responsibilities

• Create packaging and POP displays for new and existing products.
• Evaluate customer needs and translate them into drawings and prototypes.
• Develop materials and production methods to meet customer requirements.
• Create samples for customer inspection and production orders.
• Perform packaging and component testing and report results.
• Coordinate graphics, prototypes, and samples with vendors and die makers.
• Provide technical assistance on layouts, estimating, and printing dies.
• Train and support junior designers.
