Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Designer to create packaging and POP displays, translating customer needs into practical designs and prototypes. You will collaborate with customers, sales, and service teams to deliver optimized packaging solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a design or engineering field and at least four years of packaging design experience, including CAD and production methods knowledge. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, structural design, art, engineering, or packaging required.
• Strong working knowledge of production methods, printing methods, materials, and standard design forms for packaging and POP displays.
• Minimum of four years’ experience with packaging and POP display creation and design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Create packaging and POP displays for new and existing products.
• Translate customer needs into drawings, designs and prototypes within plant capabilities.
• Develop materials and production methods to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Coordinate samples, dies, and vendor activities for graphics and samples.
• Provide training and support to junior designers.
