Amcor is hiring to manage complex capital projects related to PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee projects from concept to qualification across multiple sites, focusing on productivity, timing, and budget, while supporting cost-reduction initiatives in manufacturing.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, refining feasibility studies, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging including project management.
• Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
• Experience with SPC.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are integrated into project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an action plan with cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment, tooling, and workflows.
• Communicate and resolve project timing and budget issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation for Operations Engineering.
• Coordinate with plants to monitor long-term project performance and resolve issues.
• Travel ~60%.
