Job summary

Amcor is seeking a seasoned engineer to manage complex capital projects tied to PET preforms and rigid containers. You will review new products from a manufacturing perspective, oversee multiple projects across sites, and ensure productivity, timing, and budget targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven years of professional engineering experience in plastics packaging, including seven years in project management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience managing direct reports and multiple resources.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support capital budgeting.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are included in project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into actionable implementation plans meeting cost and timing.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements; manage upgrades and expansions.
• Analyze performance and cost of equipment, tooling, workflows, and vendors.
• Communicate and resolve project issues; publish weekly status reports.
• Maintain division level technical specifications and documentation for Operations Engineering.
• Regularly communicate with plants to assess long-term project performance.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Travel approximately 60%.
