Job summary

Risus Talent Partners is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to drive the sales of packaging equipment and automation solutions. You will combine technical know-how, consultative selling, and project management to identify customer needs and recommend effective material-handling systems.

You'll train the sales team on new technologies, conduct plant surveys, create accurate layouts in AutoCAD, and manage projects from discovery through implementation while collaborating with internal

Qualifications

• Three or more years of packaging-equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of packaging automation and material-handling systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for layouts and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of packaging equipment, packaging materials, consumables, and relevant equipment manufacturers.
• Train and support the sales team on new packaging technologies, equipment capabilities, and automation systems.
• Conduct plant surveys to identify packaging and material-handling opportunities.
• Evaluate customer challenges and specify the appropriate equipment and automation solutions.
• Build strong relationships with plant engineers, operations leaders, equipment buyers, and other customer stakeholders.
• Create accurate plant layouts and conceptual drawings for projects requiring more detailed engineering.
• Manage packaging-equipment projects from initial discovery through solution development and implementation.
• Identify opportunities that contribute to sales growth and profitability across new and existing accounts.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, emerging technologies, competitive activity, and potential business risks.
• Collaborate with internal sales, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Automation Division Manager or Chief Product Officer.
