Job summary

Risus Talent Partners LLC seeks an experienced Automation Specialist to drive sales of packaging equipment and automation solutions. You will combine technical expertise, consultative selling, and project management to identify customer needs and recommend effective equipment and material-handling solutions.

You will train the sales team, conduct plant surveys, create layouts, manage projects, and build relationships with engineers and operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of packaging-equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of packaging automation, material-handling systems, packaging materials and consumables.
• Strong solution-based and consultative selling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of packaging equipment, materials, consumables, and manufacturers.
• Train and support the sales team on packaging technologies and automation systems.
• Conduct plant surveys to identify packaging and material-handling opportunities.
• Evaluate customer challenges and specify equipment and automation solutions.
• Build relationships with plant engineers, operations leaders, buyers, and stakeholders.
• Create plant layouts and conceptual drawings for projects needing engineering detail.
• Manage packaging-equipment projects from discovery to implementation.
• Identify opportunities that drive sales growth across accounts.
• Monitor market trends, technology developments, and business risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams across sales, operations, engineering and leadership.
