Job summary

Risus Talent Partners LLC seeks an experienced Automation Specialist to drive sales of packaging equipment and automation solutions. You will combine technical expertise, consultative selling, and project management to identify customer needs and recommend effective equipment and material-handling solutions.

You will train the sales team, conduct plant surveys, create layouts, manage projects, and build relationships with engineers and operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of packaging-equipment experience.
• Working knowledge of packaging automation, material-handling systems, packaging materials and consumables.
• Strong solution-based and consultative selling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to develop and drive the sales of packaging equipment and automation solutions. Reporting to the Automation Division Manager, this individual will combine technical expertise, consultative selling, and project management to identify customer needs and recommend effective equipment and material-handling solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of packaging equipment, packaging materials, consumables, and relevant equipment manufacturers.
• Train and support the sales team on new packaging technologies, equipment capabilities, and automation systems.
• Conduct plant surveys to identify packaging and material-handling opportunities.
• Evaluate customer challenges and specify the appropriate equipment and automation solutions.
• Build strong relationships with plant engineers, operations leaders, equipment buyers, and other customer stakeholders.
• Create accurate plant layouts and conceptual drawings for projects requiring more detailed engineering.
• Manage packaging-equipment projects from initial discovery through solution development and implementation.
• Identify opportunities that contribute to sales growth and profitability across new and existing accounts.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, emerging technologies, competitive activity, and potential business risks.
• Collaborate with internal sales, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Automation Division Manager or Chief Product Officer.

What We’re Looking For
