Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team in ensuring safe and efficient package sortation within the facility. You will oversee staff performance, training, and compliance with FedEx policies and procedures while driving operational excellence.

You will plan and direct daily operations, mentor supervisors, and work across departments to reduce costs and improve quality. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and safety focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification program or Associate’s Degree or 2+ years of college toward a degree is acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Strong leadership and people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All culture and oversees safety initiatives.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, performance reviews and staff discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation and inventory control.
• Analyze performance data and drive improvements to key metrics.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and goals; public speaking as needed.
• Develop employee relations and safety strategies; ensure policy compliance.
• Train new employees on duties and expectations, quality, safety and dock operations.
• Mentor and develop Operations Supervisors; adapt to changing business needs.
