Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) seeks a Business Unit Manager (BUMa) for the Pacific Northwest, based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. You will lead the unit’s sales, operations, profitability, and people, delivering on commitments and upholding corporate policies.

You’ll own the full P&L, drive growth, manage budgets, and build a high‑performing team. Expect up to 25% travel as you collaborate with leaders to optimize capabilities and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive business leadership experience that includes full P&L management.
• Demonstrated experience leading commercial growth, revenue, and market development.
• Experience in laboratory testing, environmental services, or related technical services is preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business unit with an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset, with full accountability for sales, operations, profitability, people, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
• Own the full P&L, including revenue, profitability, labor, operating expenses, budgeting, forecasting, and growth objectives.
• Lead commercial growth including sales strategy, proposals, pricing, and new markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Lead operational excellence across laboratory operations, quality, logistics, and customer service.
• Build and retain a high-performing team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, training, and resource allocation support current and future growth.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and take corrective action when needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory policies.
• Manage the leadership team with performance management and HR partnership.
• Collaborate with other leaders to optimize capabilities and company performance.
• Travel overnight up to 25% as needed.
