Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing seeks a Business Unit Manager for the Pacific Northwest, based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. You will lead sales, operations, and profitability with full P&L responsibility, guiding a high-performing team to meet financial and growth objectives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) and 10+ years in business leadership, with proven ability to grow revenue, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive business leadership experience with full P&L management.
• Experience leading commercial growth: revenue, new business development, retention.
• Strong financial, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management skills.
• Ability to lead both commercial and operational teams with strong stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business unit with growth-focused mindset and full accountability for sales, operations, profitability, people, and customer satisfaction.
• Own the full P&L, including revenue, profitability, labor, OPEX, capex, budgeting, forecasting, and growth targets.
• Drive commercial growth: sales strategy, new business development, pricing, and major proposals.
• Develop and maintain key customer relationships and ensure delivery on commitments.
• Lead operations excellence across lab, quality, logistics, and customer service.
• Build and retain a high-performing team with clear accountability.
• Ensure staffing, training, and resource allocation support current and future growth.
• Monitor financial and operational KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and SOP requirements.
• Collaborate with other leaders to optimize capacity and company performance.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
