Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare seeks a PACE Bus Driver in Riverside, CA to provide safe, timely transportation for participants. Responsibilities include transporting to centers, assisting with boarding, and ensuring vehicle safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a CA CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and BLS/CPR certifications. Training and routine tasks ensure compassionate, compliant care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CA Class A, B, or C CDL with passenger endorsement required.
• Two years medical, ADA, pupil, and/or elderly transportation experience preferred.
• Clean driving record free from major infractions required.
• Defensive driving and passenger assistance training within three months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire and maintained.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; First Aid training provided and renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 12-passenger bus safely following traffic laws and Neighborhood policies.
• Transport participants to and from the day center, medical facilities, and other outings.
• Assist participants in boarding and exiting, including those using mobility aids.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain records.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
• Report incidents to appropriate staff and communicate with participants, caregivers, and team members.
• Maintain confidentiality and participants' privacy.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
• Deliver medications and other supplies to participants.
• Follow safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
