Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego in San Diego, CA, seeks a Driver for our PACE program to transport participants in a wheelchair-accessible van between homes, the PACE Center, and community locations. You will perform daily safety inspections, keep maintenance records, and assist with patient registration and data entry into the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active California driver’s license for the class required for operation of the assigned vehicle.
• Age 21 or older; licensed minimum 3 years; no violations/accidents within 3 years; no vehicle-related suspensions/reinstatements; no DUI or felony Driving within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive the PACE van safely and timely between participants’ homes, PACE Center, and locations across communities.
• Routes and destinations may change daily based on program and service locations.
• Conduct daily safety inspection of the mobile van and report mechanical issues.
• Perform daily vehicle cleaning, fueling, oil/fluid checks, and maintain van in good condition.
• Maintain maintenance records and schedule routine/episodic vehicle maintenance.
• Register patients and screen for eligibility for financial assistance programs; enter data into the FHCSD system.
