Job summary

Vizient seeks a Director of P2P Solution Engineering & Business Development to lead a cross-functional team and translate client needs into tailored procure-to-pay solutions. You will guide demonstrations, pricing, and proposals while shaping portfolio strategy and growth opportunities.

The role collaborates with Sales, Product, Marketing and Operations, driving market differentiation and responsible AI-enabled practices across the function. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading professional teams.
• Experience supporting complex sales cycles and executive engagements.
• Experience developing responses to RFPs/RFIs and other procurement processes.
• Strong business acumen with market research and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the P2P Solution Engineering team and establish best practices for demos, proposals, and sales support.
• Partner with Sales, Account Management, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations to develop tailored solutions.
• Oversee client discovery, solution design workshops, executive presentations, pricing, proposals and sales enablement materials.
• Lead RFP/RFI responses and other client inquiries to strengthen pursuit effectiveness and growth.
• Manage sales pipeline activity and performance metrics, providing leadership with insights and recommendations.
• Represent P2P solutions in client meetings, industry conferences and events to strengthen market presence.
• Evaluate market trends, emerging technologies, and Voice of Customer insights to recommend portfolio enhancements.
• Collaborate with Product Management and leaders on strategy, roadmaps, and partnerships.
• Evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic relationships with vendors and partners.
• Lead AI adoption across the function with governance and responsible AI practices.
