Job summary

Legends Global operates water parks in El Paso and is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure safe operation and routine maintenance of park equipment. You will monitor water quality, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot pump, filtration, plumbing and carpentry systems across facilities.

The role requires 18+ years old with a HS diploma or GED, ability to read measurements, and the potential to obtain CPO/AFO certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must read measurements and have math skills to calculate chemical dosing.
• Must obtain CPO or AFO certification within a timeframe set by management.
• Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pool filtration, plumbing, carpentry and related facility systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards on all water park attractions.
• Ensure water chemistry meets CDC and local health guidelines.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of attractions and equipment.
• Operate and maintain attractions, filtration, pumps and chemical control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and inspections per manuals.
• Maintain maintenance and chemical logs and Mobaro work orders.
• Assist with seasonal opening, closing and winterization.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.

Position SummaryLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for aMaintenance Technician I for the four El Paso Water Parks. The Maintenance Technician I is responsible forsafe operation and routine maintenance of water park equipment through inspections, water quality monitoring,preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Maintain the highest standard of safety on all water park attractions in accordance with safety-relatedpolicies.• Ensure assigned water chemistry is within CDC and local health department guidelines.• Conduct assigned daily safety inspections of water park attractions and equipment.• Operate and maintain water park attractions, filtration, circulation, pumps, and chemical control systemswithin established procedures.• Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and inspections in accordance with manufacturers'manuals and guidelines.• Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs involving pumps, filtration, plumbing, carpentry, fixtures, andrelated facility systems within demonstrated competency.• Perform assigned basic electrical work under supervision and within demonstrated training andauthorization.• Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, chemical logs, checklists, and Mobaro work orders.• Maintain aquatic areas by brushing, skimming, vacuuming, and scrubbing as required.• Complete general facility work orders including painting, pressure washing, minor repairs, and equipmentmovement.• Anticipate potential malfunctions or breakdowns and report or escalate conditions requiring advancedtechnical support.• Assist senior maintenance staff with advanced repairs, troubleshooting, equipment replacement, andprojects.• Assist with seasonal opening, closing, and winterization of water park facilities and equipment.• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety codes.• Complete all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.• Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with all departments.• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.• Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations.• Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.• Must have ability to read measurements and math skills to calculate appropriate chemical dosing.• Must have or be able to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO)certification within a timeframe established by management.• Possess basic knowledge or demonstrated aptitude in pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, poolchemical controllers, plumbing, carpentry, and related facility systems.• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.• Ability to recognize when work requires additional supervision or advanced technical support.• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, vendors, patrons, and othersencountered in the course of employment.• Recognize an emergency and take appropriate action.• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.• Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Minimum Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED and 1-year related experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.Computer SkillsOperate a personal computer using Windows, Microsoft Office, Mobaro, and other standard office equipment asrequired.Physical DemandsPhysical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally, walk, climb, kneel, lift, carry, stoop, andoperate equipment.
