Job summary

Legends Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, seeks a Maintenance Technician II for its four water parks. The role focuses on inspection, preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of aquatic and facility systems.

The technician works at an advanced level, handling safety inspections, water chemistry, complex troubleshooting, and hands-on guidance to junior staff, while supporting seasonal operations and major maintenance projects. Wiling to work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPO or AFO certification required.
• Advanced knowledge in pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, chemical controllers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and technical specs.
• Capable of diagnosing equipment problems and determining corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties at an advanced level of technical competency and independence.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure water chemistry meets CDC/local health guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex or recurring failures in pumps, motors, filtration, chemical controllers, plumbing, hydraulics, drainage, electrical components, and related systems.
• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance per manuals/guidelines.
• Identify root causes and recommend repairs, replacements, or contractor support.
• Read technical manuals/diagrams/specifications.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting within training/authorization.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff.
• Support equipment commissioning, seasonal openings/closes, winterization, and major projects.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors and communicate conditions to Foreman/Manager.
• Identify parts/tools needs and maintain inventory records.

Position Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician II for the four water parks. The Maintenance Technician II is an advanced skilled position responsible for inspection, preventive maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of aquatic and facility systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance Technician I duties at an advanced level of technical competency and independence.
• Conduct assigned daily safety inspections and ensure water chemistry is within CDC and local health department guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex or recurring failures involving pumps, motors, filtration, chemical controllers, plumbing, hydraulics, drainage, electrical components, and related facility systems.
• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturers' manuals and guidelines.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment problems and recommend repair, replacement, or contractor support.
• Read and interpret manufacturer manuals, technical documentation, diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Perform assigned electrical troubleshooting and repair within demonstrated training and authorization.
• Assist with development and improvement of preventive maintenance procedures, SOPs, and inspection practices.
• Provide technical guidance and hands‑on training to Maintenance Technician I and Grounds & Facilities staff as assigned.
• Support equipment commissioning, seasonal opening, closing, winterization, and major maintenance projects.
• Support vendor and contractor work and communicate technical conditions to the Foreman or Maintenance Operations Manager.
• Identify required parts, tools, materials, and equipment and communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and Mobaro work orders, including recurring deficiencies and repair history.
• Identify deteriorating equipment and infrastructure and report potential repair, replacement, or capital needs.
• Perform specialized grounds or facility work requiring additional technical training or authorization as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety codes.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have ability to read measurements and math skills to calculate appropriate chemical dosing.
• Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification required.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, pool chemical controllers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related facility systems.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective action or escalation.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and training to less experienced employees.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, vendors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
• Must be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States and have reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned park locations.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED and progressive related maintenance experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Operate a personal computer using Windows, Microsoft Office & Mobaro as required.

Physical Demands

Physical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally, walk, climb, kneel, lift, carry, stoop, and operate equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Position requires work both indoors and outdoors and is subject to adverse weather and working conditions.
