Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles. You will own the division’s operational and financial success, from field technicians to P&L management, safety compliance, and growth initiatives.

You will recruit, train, and mentor staff, streamline dispatch, and drive profitability through strategic pricing and efficient workflows. Flexibility for overtime and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing projects in construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC and general construction trades.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; ability to work in a team.
• Flexible schedule, overtime and weekend availability as required.
• Background check and drug screen clearance.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: manage budget, costs, pricing, and gross profit margins.
• Lead and mentor licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Oversee dispatch, scheduling, and field workflows to boost efficiency.
• Develop sales strategies to grow commercial and residential contracts.
• Escalate customer inquiries and protect brand reputation.
