Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to lead technical design and engineering execution on municipal and commercial infrastructure projects. You will own deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-discipline teams and clients.

The role requires a PE license, a BA in Civil Engineering from ABET program, at least four years of experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead technical work and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and produce complete engineering designs, including plans, specs, reports, calculations and estimates.
• Evaluate design alternatives and select solutions balancing quality, constructability, cost and schedule.
• Coordinate work with project managers, disciplines, subconsultants and external stakeholders.
• Review work to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports, studies and documentation using standard tools.
• Support project delivery by identifying risks and aiding schedule and budget adherence.
• Communicate with clients, agencies and project partners professionally.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in professional or community organizations for growth.
• Lead planning and design of water distribution and wastewater systems; perform hydraulic modeling.
