Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Florida seeks a licensed Project Engineer to lead technical design and engineering execution on water distribution and wastewater projects. You own deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate across disciplines, review work, and communicate with clients and agencies. A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required, with at least four years of progressive

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required or in progress.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
Strong understanding of design standards and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and produce complete engineering designs, including plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and estimates.
Evaluate design alternatives balancing quality, constructability, cost, and schedule.
Coordinate technical work with project managers, disciplines, subconsultants, and external stakeholders.
Review work by engineers, EITs, designers, and technicians for accuracy and quality.
Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance to the team.
Lead planning and design of water distribution and wastewater systems.
