Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a senior Civil Engineer for water and wastewater projects in a full-time role. You will design distribution, collection, and pumping facilities, perform hydraulic modeling, and prepare permitting documents while coordinating with internal teams and subconsultants.

The candidate will mentor junior engineers, ensure adherence to codes, and deliver high-quality designs within schedule and budget. ABET-accredited degree and PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of water and wastewater systems including distribution, collection, and pumping facilities.
• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and evaluate system performance.
• Prepare and submit permitting documents; address agency comments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subconsultants to meet project goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and design staff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and quality standards.
