Job summary

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, a P.E. license, and 4+ years of progressive experience, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and produce complete engineering designs for water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Evaluate design alternatives balancing quality, constructability, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate technical work with project managers, subconsultants, and external stakeholders.
• Review work prepared by engineers, EITs, designers, and technicians for accuracy and quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports, studies, and documentation using standard tools.
• Support project delivery by identifying technical risks and helping manage schedule and budget.
• Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and project partners.
• Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.
• Participate in professional or community organizations to support growth.
• Lead planning and design of water/wastewater systems and review regulatory submittals.
