Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a P&C Field Services Engineer/Associate/Technician for Macon, GA. The role focuses on protective relaying, control systems, and substation testing to ensure reliable transmission.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s or BS in Engineering/Engineering Technology or 2-year technical degree in electrical maintenance or equivalent experience.
P&C field services experience and utility transmission knowledge preferred.
Ability to work safely with switching procedures and safety measures.

Responsibilities

Commissioning, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting protective relaying and controls.
Complete substation routines and projects without service interruptions.
Coordinate outages and commissioning with stakeholders; handle trouble calls as needed.
Develop safe work practices; conduct job briefings to mitigate risks.
Share technical expertise in 3-phase power, relaying, SCADA, and testing techniques.
