Job summary

University of Washington’s Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC) seeks a Program Operations Specialist to manage daily operations, supervise student staff, and coordinate hiring, programs, and assessment. This in-person role (M-F, 9am-5:30pm) is based in the UW Odegaard Undergraduate Library with potential hybrid work during breaks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in student services.
• Excellent oral and written communication and ability to relate well with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily center operations and student staff.
• Oversees scheduling for tutoring sessions, workshops, and writer inquiries.
• Manages OWRC email, space, and office supplies, and handles HR-related tasks for student employees.
• Supports marketing, onboarding, and policy development for OWRC.
• Coordinates hiring processes, interviews, and onboarding for new staff.
