Job summary

University of Washington Department of Ophthalmology seeks a Program Operations Specialist to support the delivery of the training program. You will assist with planning, scheduling, and implementing curriculum while coordinating day-to-day operations to ensure a high-quality experience for medical students and fellows.

Responsibilities include managing clerkship and fellowship programs, coordinating rotations, and supporting residency activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 2–3 years in administrative/operations position.
• Strong problem-solving and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently and with a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with E-Value, VSAS and MedHub.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, and program implementation for the ophthalmology training programs.
• Coordinate clerkship, fellowship, and residency activities and onboarding.
• Serve as primary liaison for medical students and coordinate rotations and observer/shadow activities.
• Administer evaluations, collect data, and assist with accreditation processes.
