Job description

Owners Rep/Construction Manager | Multifamily Development
Dallas-Fort Worth, TX | $150,000 to $170,000 Base | Developer-Side Role | Multi-Project Portfolio

A well-established Dallas-based real estate development business is looking to appoint an experienced Owners Rep/Construction Manager to support the delivery of vertical construction projects across its growing DFW portfolio.

This role will suit someone with a strong multifamily construction background who has also delivered commercial-style elements within residential developments, particularly clubhouses, amenity centers, leasing facilities, fitness centers or similar community buildings.

The position sits on the developer side and will involve managing projects from preconstruction and design coordination through construction, turnover and closeout.

The wider pipeline includes amenity facilities, residential and mixed-use components, alongside an upcoming 200-unit multifamily development.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the delivery of vertical construction projects across multiple active developments, working closely with architects, engineers, consultants, General Contractors and trade partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Overseeing multifamily, amenity and mixed-use construction
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and project scopes for constructability
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, procurement and key milestones
  • Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and General Contractors
  • Supporting contractor selection, proposal reviews and contract negotiations
  • Reviewing pay applications, change orders and cost forecasts
  • Leading project meetings and monitoring contractor performance
  • Conducting regular site visits to assess progress, quality and schedule
  • Managing permitting, inspections, punch lists, turnover and closeout
  • Providing clear project updates to ownership and senior leadership
  • Supporting multiple developments across the DFW market

The role will involve regular travel between active project locations across the Metroplex, so candidates must be comfortable managing work across multiple sites rather than being tied to one project.

What They Are Looking For

The key requirement is a strong multifamily construction background, combined with experience delivering commercial-style amenity or community facilities.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience as a Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager, Owner's Representative or similar
  • A background with a multifamily developer, developer-builder, owner’s representative or General Contractor
  • Direct experience delivering multifamily construction projects
  • Experience with clubhouses, amenity centers, leasing centers, fitness facilities or similar buildings
  • Full-cycle responsibility from preconstruction through turnover and closeout
  • Strong knowledge of budgets, schedules, contracts, pay applications and change orders
  • Experience managing General Contractors, architects, engineers and consultants
  • The ability to review construction documents and identify scope or constructability issues
  • Strong commercial judgment and project ownership
  • The flexibility to manage different project types and travel between active developments

You will be joining a business that can provide:

  • $150,000 to $170,000 base salary
  • Exposure to multifamily, amenity and mixed-use development
  • Involvement from early planning through final delivery
  • A strong pipeline of active and upcoming projects across DFW
  • An upcoming 200-unit multifamily development
  • The opportunity to manage multiple developments rather than a single project
  • Long-term career development within an established Dallas real estate business

For an experienced multifamily construction professional who wants broader exposure to developer-side project delivery, this represents an opportunity to work across a varied pipeline while retaining a strong focus on multifamily construction.
