Job summary

RimePro is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale ground-up multifamily construction. You will work with project managers, superintendents, and a wide range of stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include managing RFIs and submittals, reviewing drawings, coordinating with subs, and maintaining essential logs while assisting with procurement, budgeting, and closeout activities.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role with a GC or multifamily builder.
  • Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Ground-up construction experience preferred.
  • Exposure to podium, urban multifamily developments, affordable housing, or modular construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up multifamily construction projects.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Review drawings and specifications across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP disciplines.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field teams.
  • Maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, procurement, and long-lead materials.
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.
  • Track procurement to maintain project schedules and milestones.
  • Participate in owner/architect/subcontractor/internal meetings.
  • Resolve field coordination and constructability issues with Superintendents.
  • Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Support scopes: podium, concrete, framing, MEP, envelope, interiors, finishes.
  • Assist with quality control, inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities.
  • Assist with project closeout including O&M manuals and final documentation.

Summary

A growing vertically integrated multifamily developer and general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale ground-up apartment and residential construction projects. Projects range from smaller urban developments to 200--480 unit multifamily communities and may include podium, affordable housing, modular/prefabricated construction, and complex urban developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with multifamily construction experience who wants to gain exposure across project management, field operations, procurement, cost control, and preconstruction while developing toward an Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up multifamily construction projects
  • Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation
  • Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, and field teams
  • Maintain submittal, RFI, procurement, and long-lead material logs
  • Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, contracts, and purchase orders
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management
  • Track material and equipment procurement to maintain project schedules
  • Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Work closely with Superintendents to resolve field coordination and constructability issues
  • Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and milestone tracking
  • Support coordination of podium, concrete, framing, MEP, building envelope, interiors, and finish scopes
  • Assist with quality control, inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities
  • Support project closeout including O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts, and final documentation
Requirements
  • 1--5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role with a general contractor or multifamily builder
  • Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
  • Ground-up construction experience preferred
  • Experience with apartments, condominiums, affordable housing, mixed-use, or other residential developments preferred
  • Exposure to podium construction is a strong plus
  • Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and construction documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
  • Basic understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
