Job summary

Redpath Partners is seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead large-scale residential and mixed-use projects from acquisition through delivery. You will manage schedules, budgets, and teams while coordinating architects, engineers, and municipal agencies to meet milestones and strategic objectives.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, proactive risk management, and close collaboration with senior leadership and lenders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant development experience with a real estate developer, owner, investment firm, or development consulting organization.
  • Demonstrated experience executing multifamily, residential, mixed-use, condominium, or commercial development projects.
  • Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle, including entitlement, design, permitting, budgeting, construction, and closeout.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with development pro formas and project budgets.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, and financial analysis tools.

  • Manage project timelines, critical path schedules, and key development milestones.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, attorneys, consultants, contractors, and municipal agencies throughout the development process.
  • Assist in entitlement, zoning, permitting, and approval efforts.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitor costs, evaluate change orders, and assist with financial reporting.
  • Prepare investment committee, lender, and ownership reporting materials.
  • Review construction progress and partner with project management and construction teams to resolve issues proactively.
  • Conduct project due diligence, market research, and feasibility analyses.
  • Support acquisition and underwriting efforts as required.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project delivery.

Position
Role

This is an execution-focused role for an experienced real estate professional who enjoys driving projects forward, solving problems, and coordinating the many moving parts required to successfully deliver large-scale developments. The Development Manager will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to oversee projects through entitlement, design, budgeting, permitting, construction, and stabilization.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing development schedules, consultant teams, municipal approvals, design coordination, and project reporting while ensuring projects remain aligned with business objectives.
