Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Field Construction Management Director to lead owner-side field oversight on a major pharmaceutical campus across multiple sites. You will validate progress, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with engineering, commissioning, and startup teams to drive readiness for turnover and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 20+ years of professional experience in construction management or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of field leadership on complex industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure programs.
• Experience supervising field execution on programs exceeding $1 billion in capital value.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred; other heavy industries considered.
• Experience in construction quality management and field inspection programs.
• Experience managing NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of turnover, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's primary field oversight representative across active fronts.
• Maintain on-site presence to monitor activities, productivity, and quality.
• Verify contractor-reported progress and develop owner-side metrics.
• Identify risks and issues impacting safety, quality, or schedule.
• Coordinate with engineering, CQV, startup and operations teams.
• Lead NCRs, punch items, and field quality issue tracking.
• Participate in daily field meetings and planning.
• Prepare field observation reports and executive summaries.
• Ensure readiness for inspections, turnover, and startup.
