Job summary

AtkinsRéalis leads owner-side technical oversight for pharmaceutical capital programs, reviewing design quality and GMP compliance across multiple projects and teams.

The role requires 20+ years in engineering leadership, strong governance, and ability to challenge technical assumptions while coordinating with clients, EPCs, vendors, and operations to ensure fast-track, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in engineering, design management, technical program leadership, EPC project delivery, or owner-side engineering oversight.
• Experience supporting major capital projects exceeding $500 million in total installed cost; multi-billion programs preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred; regulated facilities experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent owner-side technical oversight across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Review engineering deliverables for GMP compliance, operability, and design readiness.
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews involving engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, validation, commissioning, and construction.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and startup readiness.
• Coordinate alignment among client teams, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and operations representatives.
