Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer/Construction Inspector for the FCI Leavenworth project in Leavenworth, KS. This full-time role supports the FBOP in closeout and activation phases, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and codes. The candidate will inspect construction, document progress, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep systems functional and ahead of schedule. The position starts October 2026 for 1–1.5 years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and minimum 5 years of construction contract administration and inspection experience.
• OSHA 30HR safety training required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with federal/government projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with BOP client representatives, contractors and stakeholders.
• Provide daily site inspections to verify functionality of operational systems and coordinate warranty work.
• Coordinate field activities with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulators.
• Prepare daily reports and review contractor schedules and change orders.
• Manage project records, photos, and equipment installations; support activation activities.
