Job summary

ASR International is seeking a Construction Inspector for a Baltimore, MD area federal design-build project. The role is full-time on-site, with anticipated duration of 24–30 months, and includes a housing allowance.

Responsibilities cover QA, field inspection, and coordination across electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural work. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction inspection or facilities contract management, OSHA certification, and familiarity with Procore and MS Office for

Qualifications

• MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, or facilities contract management on large-scale projects.
• Extensive QA experience in Maryland with local code knowledge.
• Current OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification is required.
• Licenses or certifications (e.g., ICC, PE) preferred; familiarity with NEC/IBC/ASME/OSHA codes.
• Experience using Procore and MS Office for docs, deficiency tracking, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction and ongoing progress meetings and document protocols and reporting.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, manufacturer data, and schedules.
• Develop and maintain a site-specific Inspection Plan for active work packages.
• Conduct full-time on-site surveillance of construction and demolition activities.
• Inspect materials and equipment on arrival for conformance with submittals.
• Observe specialized work and coordinate with third-party specialists when needed.
• Identify, photograph, and track deficiencies; maintain a deficiency log and verify corrective actions.
• Monitor safety compliance including PPE, fall protection, LOTO, and permits.
• Witness field tests, equipment startups, system testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily logs and weekly/monthly reports with photographs.
