Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking Construction Inspectors to support Civil Engineering construction and renovation projects at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

The Inspector will provide field-level oversight to ensure contractor work complies with approved plans, specifications, criteria, and contract requirements, for facilities including administrative, medical, aircraft maintenance, industrial, and utility projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, plans and specifications.
• Ability to inspect construction for compliance with contract requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable construction codes and criteria.
• Ability to document construction progress, deficiencies, and field conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction contractor compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Inspect construction and renovation of facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractor representatives regarding schedules, interpretation of plans and specifications, work methods, materials, and workmanship.
• Identify and document construction deficiencies and support coordination of corrective actions.
• Monitor construction progress and evaluate contractor schedules, delays, and other conditions that may affect project execution.
• Review contractor cost breakdowns, progress measurement information, material and equipment reports, field inspection reports, and survey information.
• Support recommendations regarding contractor submittals and progress schedules.
• Investigate and report circumstances associated with potential or formal construction claims.
• Prepare construction documentation, correspondence, daily logs, and safety reports.
• Prepare Construction Dailies and Weekly Activity Reports.
• Apply applicable Civil Engineer guidance, UFC, and building codes.
