Job summary

Pacifico Energy seeks a Project Engineering Manager to lead the owner's engineering team for the Cedar Creek project and govern contractor design against specifications. You will evaluate change requests and own the design review process, interfacing with the Project Director to ensure technical alignment on a major energy infrastructure initiative.

The role requires 15+ years of power plant engineering experience, hands-on gas turbine design, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in power plant engineering, including team leadership on large projects.
• 5+ years representing an owner or client over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
• Hands-on gas turbine plant design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering — required for this position.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner's discipline engineering team and the interface function.
• Govern the contractor's design development against the technical specification.
• Lead your team's technical evaluation of change request content.
• Provide the final change request recommendation to the Project Director.
• Own the owner's design review and comment process.
• Drive resolution of technical disputes with the contractor and the OEM.
• Own technical risk identification and mitigation.
