Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the owner's construction organization on the Cedar Creek project, a 1,100 MW gas turbine facility. You will govern the EPC contractor, review plans, and drive safety, quality, and schedule risk management across six disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience with large-scale EPC projects, ownership representation, and OSHA standards knowledge, plus a relevant engineering or construction management degree.

Qualifications

• 18+ years in power or heavy industrial construction.
• 5+ years representing an owner over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
• Track record on projects above $1B with 1500+ peak workforce.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner's construction organization across six disciplines.
• Govern the EPC contractor against the contract, schedule and quality plan.
• Review and challenge the contractor's plans, sequencing and resourcing.
• Verify physical progress supporting payment claims.
• Drive early review of construction work packages and push back on weak scope.
• Escalate safety, quality and schedule risk early and clearly.
• Represent Pacifico in daily and weekly construction meetings.
• Monitor preservation and storage of equipment and materials across the site.
