Job summary

Preston Recruitment Ltd in Tempe, Arizona, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design switchgear controls, PDUs, and low-voltage power-distribution equipment on a fully onsite basis. You will translate client specifications into production-ready designs and collaborate with engineering, production and supply-chain teams.

You will create detailed drawings with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensure UL compliance, and support projects from concept through manufacture.

Qualifications

Product-design experience within PDU, switchgear, or low-voltage equipment.
Experience turning client specs into production-ready designs.
Knowledge of UL standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

Design switchgear controls, PDUs, panelboards and related low-voltage equipment.
Review client specifications and translate them into accurate product designs.
Produce detailed drawings and models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Develop designs that are practical, efficient and ready for manufacture.
Support projects from design to production lifecycle.
Collaborate with production and supply chain to resolve issues.
Ensure designs meet UL standards and customer specs.
Maintain engineering documentation throughout each project.
