Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in power distribution.
Strong knowledge of three-phase power, grounding, and safety standards.
Experience selecting switchgear components and protective devices.
Ability to interpret customer specs and translate to manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design of low- and medium-voltage switchgear from concept to production release.
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and panel layouts for manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with UL 891, NFPA 70, and IEEE C37 family standards.
Coordinate with PLC/BMS, controls, and external systems for integration.
Provide technical leadership, reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers.
Support manufacturing with field issues, FAT/FAI, and commissioning.
Evaluate alternate components for availability, cost, and lead time.
