Job summary

Massachusetts Department of Transportation seeks an administrative services professional to coordinate truck and trailer permitting activities. You will process OS/OW permits, review routes to avoid construction, and ensure compliance with MassDOT and DOT policies.

The role involves stakeholder communication and data/document management. The position supports use of the OASIS permitting system and requires strong attention to detail and timely processing of applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and monitor truck and trailer permitting activities, including OS/OW permits.
• Evaluate routes to avoid construction, weight limits and time restrictions.
• Interpret and apply state and federal laws governing vehicle weights and dimensions.
• Review vehicle ratings and manufacturer GVWR for permit accuracy.
• Ensure permit packages are complete and compliant with requirements.
• Maintain permit records and reconcile revenue with fiscal management.
• Provide guidance to applicants and stakeholders on permit requirements.
