Job summary

Yusen Logistics seeks an Overseas Settlement Specialist I to support the Overseas Settlement Supervisor by handling AR and AP for assigned accounts. This onsite role is based in our Franklin, Tennessee office.

The position requires coordination with agents, branches, and internal teams to ensure accurate settlement processes and timely payments. Prior experience with AR/AP and excellent Excel skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agents by email or phone to work on settlements monthly and collect outstanding receivables.
• Escalate overdue AR for further collection efforts.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable for all assigned agents.
• Review agent AR statements and match with outstanding payables.
• Verify accuracy of agent AR statements and coordinate corrections with branches.
• Provide documentation to agents and resolve disputes.
• Serve as the main contact for agents and coordinate with branches.
• Facilitate settlements between agents and the company.
• Arrange payments after settlement or request payments when acting as receiver.
• Settle assigned agents timely and accurately.

Overview

The Overseas Settlement Specialist I will assistance the Overseas Settlement Supervisor to meet and maintain company goals and objectives by managing AR and AP of assigned accounts. This position will be fully onsite based out of the Franklin TN office.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agents by email or phone to work on settlement each month or collect for outstanding receivable from the agents.
• Escalate overdue AR for additional collection efforts.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable to all assigned agents, accurately.
• Review agent’s monthly AR statement and try to match up with our outstanding payable.
• Judge for correctness of agent’s AR statement. Any missing payables are required to communicate to branches to follow up and set up for payable.
• Matching is performed on spread sheet and experience and knowledge of excel skill help matching more accurately and improve efficiency.
• Provide all documentations requested by the agents and solve the disputes (if any).
• All disputes, rejection AR from the agents are needed to relay back to the branches for additional information or correction for errors.
• Need to act as a window person for the agents and constantly communicate with the branches, develop relationships well with both parties.
• Work with agents on both receivable and payable, finally conclude a settlement which both sides agreed.
• After settlement is done, arrange for the payment or request for payment from agent if we are the receiver.
