Job summary

Holy Family Institute in the Pittsburgh region is seeking a Youth Care Worker for overnight shifts (10:30pm–6:30am). The role requires supervising residents, maintaining safety, and supporting daily living activities.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be at least 21, and be able to obtain clearances. Bilingual English/Spanish or Dari/Pashto is strongly preferred; experience with trauma-informed care is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year working with children required; residential or human services preferred.
• Ability to obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid PA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates information about children's behavior to other departments in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates appropriate handling and reporting of incidents.
• Completes required documentation according to agency standards, maintaining confidentiality.
• Assists and promotes acculturation in a culturally sensitive way; reduce bias.
• Maintains a safe living environment for residents; assists with daily activities.
