Job summary

Holy Family Institute in Moon, PA seeks a Shift Coordinator for afternoon and overnight shifts to support the Journey of Hope shelter program for unaccompanied children. The role leads YCWs, coordinates daily activities, and ensures safety, trauma-informed care, and compliance with program contracts.

The successful candidate will have an associates or bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of direct service in a residential or human services setting, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree required
• At least one year working with children required
• Experience in residential setting or human services preferred
• 1-3 years of direct service experience required
• Supervision experience preferred
• Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and PA driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to remain calm and composed under stress
• ADA/FMLA and related standards knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily shift tasks for YCWs and monitors staffing coverage
• Plans and implements daily activities for children per contracts
• Coordinates transportation for admissions, discharges, and field trips
• Assists with staff orientation and training of YCWs
• Provides guidance to YCWs and ensures effective problem solving
• Facilitates weekly house and community meetings
• Maintains accurate census and case management updates
